Wheelchair Access Disabled Mercedes Sprinter
There are a number of items that we use daily to make our living easier and we take these items totally for granted. How would we manage without our coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave etc., etc., and for a person having to live any type of disability a wheelchair accessible Mercedes Sprinter or another model would, and should, be included in this list.
A wheelchair car is designed to give the user more independence and greater options when driving from either shopping at the local supermarket to family holidays and trips to the seaside.
If you are thinking of buying your first WAV you need to choose the vehicle that is right for you and fits in with your own particular lifestyle. The first consideration is to ensure that your wheelchair will fit inside the WAV easily and without any trouble, with a wheelchair adapted Mercedes Sprinter it is one of the larger makes and models so most manual and electric wheelchairs will be able to fit inside – a Sprinter is also possible to be converted so it is suitable for 2 or more wheelchairs.
The stock feed below is a live feed of Mercedes used wheelchair accessible vehicles available for sale in the UK from the leading WAV trade dealers and private sellers – free home demonstrations and delivery is available on most vehicles – or find a local dealer to visit in person.

The first consideration is to ensure that your wheelchair will fit inside the WAV easily and without any trouble, measure the height, width and length to ensure a good fit and keep these measurments to hand when talking to dealers, they can then provide suitable vehicle for your wheelchair. Generally most wheelchair accessible vehicles can accommodate a 29” width wheelchair.
Although with most WAVs there is no problem as far as width and length are concerned, different models may have different heights inside. Always ensure that the top clearance is sufficient, bearing in mind the height of the user. No one wants to have to spend any journeys with a bent neck or gazing towards the ceiling!
Depending on your degree of mobility some vehicles allow you enter/exit without any help from anyone else and all at the touch of a remote control.
The wheelchair accessible Mercedes Sprinter will be VAT free if it is being bought for a disabled person to use. This is not the case if the car is going to be used commercially e.g. as a Taxi.
